Bible text: Numbers 23:19- “God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfil?” (NIV)
This verse can be broken down into three (3) main points:
1. God is not human: This phrase emphasizes that God is distinct from humans and operates on a different level. Unlike humans, who are prone to making mistakes and changing their minds, God is consistent and reliable.
2. God does not lie: This statement highlights God’s truthfulness and integrity. Unlike humans, who may deceive or manipulate others, God is always truthful and transparent.
3. God fulfils His promises: The verse concludes by emphasizing that God is a promisekeeper. When God speaks or makes a promise, He always follows through and fulfils it.
This verse encourages us to trust in God’s reliability and faithfulness, knowing that He is a God who keeps His promises and always acts with integrity.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for this wonderful Word that assures me of your faithfulness, reliability and integrity. I will continue to trust in You because all my needs and wants are catered for if I do so. Thank you, Father, for an answered prayer in Jesus’ Name. Amen
