Good morning Jesus devotion

Theme: The Fear of the Lord; a must for all believers!
Scriptural Text: Proverbs 19:23 (KJV) “The fear of the Lord tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.”
This verse is rich in meaning and offers profound wisdom for the believer.
The phrase “fear of the Lord” refers to a deep reverence and awe for God, recognizing His sovereignty, power, and holiness. It also encompasses a healthy respect for His commandments and a desire to live in obedience to Him. In this verse, we see that the fear of the Lord tends to life, indicating that it leads to a life that is full, abundant, and deeply satisfying.
One of the key aspects of the fear of the Lord is the recognition of God as the ultimate source of life. In Him, we find fulfillment, purpose, and true satisfaction. Those who fear the Lord are faithful and obedient to His Word. They stay away from evil. They also treat and relate with their fellow neighbor as God expects.
Those who walk in the fear of the Lord understand this truth and seek to align their lives with His plans and purposes. In doing so, they experience a deep and abiding contentment that cannot be found in the pursuits of this world.
The verse also makes the promise that those who possess the fear of the Lord shall not be visited with evil. This does not mean that they will never face challenges or difficulties in life, as Jesus Himself promised that in this world, we will have trouble (John 16:33). Instead, it points to the ultimate protection and provision that comes from walking in obedience to God. It is a reminder that when we prioritize our relationship with Him and seek to live according to His ways, we can trust in His faithfulness to shield us from ultimate harm and to bring about ultimate good, even in the midst of trials.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for this wonderful Word. It is my humble prayer that you will grant me the capacity to fear you and put You ahead of every other thing in this life. Thank you for an answered prayer in Jesus Name. Amen.
