From October 31st to November 3rd, I had the privilege of attending the Youth Model Parliament-YMP National Congress, where I was deeply inspired by the theme “Amplifying Youth Voices; The Quest for Peace and National Prosperity.” As I immersed myself in parliamentary sessions and the Ghana Youth Leaders Summit, my passion for creating positive change ignited.
On November 1st and 2nd, I represented the Ga Central Municipal as a District delegate for the Youth Model Parliament where various topics and motions were handled and deliberated on. I met some remarkable individuals that made my experience truly unforgettable. Talking and engaging with people from other constituencies brought me great joy as I learnt and impacted quite a number of people. The connections made were outstanding.
These connections not only expanded my network but also broadened my perspective, providing valuable insights into the power of collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. I realized that our voices matter and our actions can shape a brighter future.
The words of Les Brown resonated with me: “Life is made for greater things, and you are meant for greater things.” I was reminded that I, too, have the potential to make a difference.
I’d like to extend my gratitude to our esteemed speakers. Mr. Daniel Dotse, CEO – Lead For Ghana, your encouragement to “start with a little and make change happen in our own small ways” was particularly motivating. Mr. Edward Marfo, the General Secretary of the Youth Empowerment Consortium – YEC, your advice to stay committed and never give up was invaluable. Ms. Hannah Mamudu, President, The Influential Woman Foundation, your reminder to be content with what we have and can offer was a powerful message. Special thanks go to Mr. Peter Bismark, Executive Director, Institute for Liberty & Policy Innovation, your insights on securing funding for NGOs were extremely helpful.
To all participants, I offer my deepest gratitude. Your dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment to creating positive change inspire me. To the organizers, may God bless you.
Let’s continue to empower and inspire each other, amplifying our voices to create a better world.
Thank you 😊.
