The lion is the king of the jungle not by size, but by being bold and courageous. There are animals that are bigger and even stronger than the lion, but they do not have the boldness of a lion. So, when an elephant that is bigger than a lion sees a lion coming, it sees the eater. When a lion that is not as big as the elephant sees an elephant coming, he says that is my food. The elephant that is bigger sees the lion as a prey. The lion who is smaller than the elephant sees the elephant as his lunch because of the kind of heart it has.
If you want to make it big in life, you need to step out of your comfort zone. You need to take the bull by the horn and have a different mindset and approach about how you do things.
Albert Einstein once observed that: “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
According to Newton’s first law of motion, “every object will continue to be at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless an external force acts on it’’.
Ripples of water can never be formed until the water is disturbed. Think deeply about this.
To be able to stand out of the lots, you need a lion’s heart, you need courage and braveness to approach all your endeavors. A ‘chicken-hearted’ person can not achieve much in life because great and successful people never work out of fear.
As Archimedes once observed; ‘’if you don’t have confidence in yourself, you are twice defeated in the battle of life, but with confidence, you have already won before you started.’’
The first step of approaching life with confidence is to have a mind renewal. Renew your mind and see things differently. Do not look at things from the scope of mediocrity. Paul rightly observes in Romans 12:2b that: …, be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may be able to prove what is that good and acceptable will of God.
You can’t be successful in life if all you think about everyday is failure. Renew your mind! Reflect and think about positive things, subject your brains to positive thinking. You can’t be an eagle if all you have is the mindset of a chicken. Society applauds and gives much attention to the courageous and brave ones who defy all odds and make things happen in life.
The next step is to have the God-factor. After mind renewal, your confidence to life can never be complete if you do not have God in your life.
David was a typical example: after being anointed by Samuel as the next heir to the throne, he had the greatest breakthrough of his life. At age 17, he took that great challenge out of confidence to fight a warrior Goliath who has been fighting since his childhood. As we all know the story, David defeated this giant and brought a great victory to Israel. so in effect, you need God to make things happen in this life.
To have the lion’s share, you need a lion’s heart. I encourage you to reflect on the above piece of writing and go all out by allowing it to minister to you. You can not afford to fail your generation.
