…,I Wish I Did All This But Time Couldn’t Favor Me

• A man at the verge of dying cried aloud and said: ‘O! time where art thou? I wish I had enough time to accomplish my purpose. It is now too late for me’.

• An old man on a street one day met a young man and begged for money from a young man walking along his way. The amazing look on the face of this young man brought out some fatherly advice from this old man. He said: ‘my son, life has thought me some lessons which I would like to share with you’.

• I have learnt that our time here on earth has a limit. Do not waste your time on worthless things that will profit nothing.

• Always know that you were born with a purpose and your fulfillment in life will be complete if you work according to your purpose.

• The old man continued by saying that: ‘if you want to succeed in life, carve a niche of friends that will help you accomplish your mission here on earth. Not all friends are worthy to be called friends. Selah

• I had the chance to work for God but I was always giving excuses every time the need arises. The strength I have now can not enable me achieve much for God. O! What a pity.

• I had enough money to help the poor and put smiles on the faces of the needy. I did none of these. I thought to myself that all the money, and properties I had at that time were mine and mine alone. Little did I know that I was just a steward to all that I was blessed with those days. I didn’t know that the riches I had those times were not permanent and that money they say has wings and flies. See my state now. O! time where art thou, as tears were falling down his face.

• This was a brief but profound advice from the old man to the young man. A word to the wise is enough!

• It is my hope that our moments of time in our old age will not be like this old man  who finally said: ‘I wish I did all this but time couldn’t favor me’.

Selah…
